What is ComicBox?
ComicBox helps you discover, identify and organize comic books and manga. You can search by title, barcode or cover image and manage your personal collection and wishlist.
Is ComicBox free?
ComicBox offers a free tier with usage limits. Additional limits and features may be introduced in the future.
How does visual search work?
You can upload or capture a photo of a comic book cover. ComicBox compares the image against its cover database and returns matching results.
Does visual search always return the correct result?
Visual search is designed to provide the best possible matches, but results may not always be accurate. We recommend verifying matches before adding items to your collection.
Where does ComicBox get its comic data?
ComicBox uses comic metadata and cover information from the Grand Comics Database (GCD), a volunteer-driven project dedicated to documenting comic books from around the world.

Can I export my collection?
Collection export functionality may be available depending on your account type and future feature releases.
Are my collections public?
No. Your collections are private unless ComicBox explicitly provides sharing features and you choose to use them.
What happens if I delete my account?
Your account and associated collection data will be removed according to our data retention policies.
How often is the database updated?
Comic data is periodically synchronized from GCD and may not immediately reflect the latest changes made in the GCD database.
Why is some information missing or incorrect?
ComicBox relies on third-party comic databases and community-maintained sources. While we strive for accuracy, some entries may be incomplete, outdated or contain errors.
If you discover incorrect information, we recommend contributing corrections directly to the Grand Comics Database (GCD).
Can I import my collection from CLZ Comics?
Not yet.
A dedicated CLZ import is currently in development and planned for a future update.
ComicBox uses the Grand Comics Database (GCD) as its primary data source. Since CLZ and GCD sometimes use different series names and identifiers, importing a collection requires intelligent matching to ensure your comics are linked correctly.
Until the importer is available, collections can be built using search, barcode scanning, or visual identification.
